Embrace
Canvas Print / Fine Art Prints
Original Piece: Oil on Panel, 2020
This painting was initially made on a collage background. I then wanted the background to be plain blue, but because of the underlying collage, there are vertical creases. This not only creates a raw and textured effect, but it also gives the impression of falling rain. The painting is titled “Embrace” and is about the ecstasy and passion of love and how romantic love feels. The woman’s arm stretched out, leaving her body vulnerable. The man clings to her, fixing her gaze with care and sensitivity, not letting go.
