My main mediums are oil painting and charcoal drawing. I use the classical techniques I learned during my time studying the Old Masters in Florence to help me to create each piece. Currently I am based in Oxford and I have a gallery and studio there called ‘Jungle’, which I co-run with a local charity to run events and workshops for the surrounding community.
Right now I am illustrating a book on the Psalms which is a follow up from the book ‘Unveiled’ written by my mother Clare Hayns.
January 2023 – present : Solo show at Wycliffe Hall Oxford, exhibition of 35 originals.
September 2022: Jungle Art Gallery expansion to larger shop – exhibiting and curating 32 original pieces and collaborating with Cowley Collective – a local charity who run weekly community events such as story time and a senior social in the space.
January 2022 – present: Teaching children’s drawing and painting classes each weekend at the Jungle Art Gallery. 6 lessons with approximately 6-7 students in each class.
December 2021 – present: Unveiled Book Tour – featuring exhibitions of original art from the book as well charcoal drawing workshops and a Q+A at 7+ churches around the UK (Including in Cambridge, Bristol, Reading, Woking, Oxford, Chipping Norton)
November 2021: Unveiled Book Launch and exhibition in Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. 34 pieces exhibited.
October 2021: All artwork (40 paintings and drawings) for the book “UNVEILED”
October 2021: 30 pieces exhibited at Untitled Art Fair in Chelsea, London
July 2021: “Moments Passed” – Solo Exhibition at Gallery 1889, Liverpool
December 2020: JUNGLE Art Gallery Opening Show – All artwork By Micah
March 2019: Pop-Up Exhibition, Oxford
June 2019: Final Exhibition at the Florence Academy of Art
